About
Welcome to Bulla Gastrobar Plano, a vibrant Spanish eatery located at 6007 Legacy Dr #180, Plano, TX 75024. This delightful establishment has quickly made a name for itself, blending rich Spanish cuisine with a warm, inviting atmosphere. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I had the pleasure of exploring this culinary gem, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
Bulla Gastrobar Plano is more than just a restaurant; it’s a cultural experience. The ambiance is beautifully adorned with bright colors and diverse seating styles, making it an ideal spot for everything from intimate dinners to lively brunches with friends. As I entered, I was immediately charmed by the décor, which sets the perfect backdrop for enjoying tapas and engaging in conversations.
The menu features a variety of tantalizing tapas, including the highly praised serrano ham croquettes—a must-try dish bursting with flavor. The casual yet sophisticated style of dining invites you to share several plates, making it perfect for any gathering. I savored the montaditos and was particularly impressed by the refreshing ceviche. The seafood paella, while noted to be on the drier side during one visit, still holds its place as a centerpiece dish worthy of any table.
Amy D.'s review highlighted the evolution of service from her first visit to the second, noting how the team made every effort to ensure her dining experience was exceptional. Similarly, Teresa R. expressed her appreciation for the manager’s attention to detail and customer care, proving that Bulla Gastrobar Plano doesn’t just prioritize food but also the overall dining experience.
This restaurant effectively combines casual elegance with a lively atmosphere, making it a perfect destination for both families and friends. With delicious food and a welcoming environment, Bulla Gastrobar Plano is certainly a place I plan on returning to, eager to discover more of their Spanish delights.
Don’t just take my word for it; come and savor the magic of Bulla Gastrobar Plano. Whether it's a casual weeknight dinner or a spirited weekend brunch, this place is bound to impress.
“ I would give this place 4 - 4.5 stars overall -- not everything hit the mark in terms of food but most items were delicious, the environment is super lively, and service was solid! My fiance and I had a reservation on a Friday evening and were seated a few minutes after we arrived at a high top table. We ordered a total of 5 tapas to share plus a dessert, and that ended up being the perfect amount of food for us! A few of the tapas were definitely highlights. Both the grilled octopus and montadito de chistorra (seasonal dish) were very delicious. Additionally, the huevos bulla (which we upgraded to the Iberian ham) was such a fun dish especially as someone who loves breakfast food! Everything worked together very well, and the Iberian ham was great. Other than that, the sauteed garlic shrimp was pretty good but not quite as spectacular as the others, though I quite enjoyed the soft bread it came with as it was perfect for dipping. And finally, the big lowlight of the meal were the patatas bravas because the potatoes were overcooked... To end our meal, we got the flan de coco for dessert, and this was perfection! The sweet and creamy flan paired perfectly with the tart and refreshing passionfruit sorbet -- definitely a must get! ”
“ Love the service n food! The Spanish paella wasn't great very salty though the breakfast Paella was great almost perfect. I'll definitely be back. ”
“ We've been twice. First visit service was just ok...but the second visit was an improved experience. The service was great and the food was perfect. We tried a little bit of everything with our small group and it was all hot, fresh and delicious. ”
“ I drove 50 minutes today to meet a former colleague so we could catch up. Traffic getting thru Dallas on a Saturday morning - you can imagine. And parking at Legacy Shops wasn't easy. But when I walked in the door at 11am and the place wasn't packed yet, I was so happy. I needed some attention. And we both got it. The decor is so beautiful, I felt very comfortable in this place immediately. The bright colors, the atmosphere, the different seating styles; take your pick. We were greeted nicely by the hostess and showed to a table but of course I picked another one, which didn't bother her at all, thank you. Our server Amanda greeted us promptly and explained the menu and made everything sound so yummy! I can't speak for the level of service when they are busy, but Amanda checked us very often, kept the food coming and made sure that we were pleased with our selections. She spoke to us, didn't rush us. We choose many dishes! and the sangria was so good - I normally am not a fan of sangria, so I chose the white and was pleasantly surprised - try it, you'll love it! You MUST try the serrano ham croquettes - an explosion of flavor in your mouth! They look like hush puppies but when you bite into them, it is soft and flavorful omgee. I loved them best of all. By the time they brought out the brunch paella (it takes a while to make), we were full and I only ate a couple of bites. We asked for doggie bags for the paella and Amanda asked if we'd like the potatoes also. We said sure, why not. We did order dessert after a bit - flan for my friend and I wanted the creme brulee. I wasn't crazy about it being served cold, I've only had it hot. It just seemed off. The manager happened to be walking by and saw that I had pushed it to the middle of the table after only a couple of bites. She asked me if I didn't like it. I said, no I didn't. She offered me something else instead, she was very kind. I appreciated her attention. I hated to leave, I could have stayed there for hours but needed to get home. Later, when I opened my bag and took out the 2 little boxes, I found 2 boxes of potatoes, no paella at all. I assume my friend received the paella. I wanted to cry! Only two bites (and we had split the $100+ bill,ha)... so in future, check your boxes before you leave a restaurant. I will have to see how I can get a paella from them way down here in Mesquite. Regardless, check out this place, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good management is going on here! ”
“ This place is so good! I was not disappointed in any of the tapas I ordered. Service was great & good ambiance for a Sunday girls brunch! ”
“ We had some delicious tapas here as a family of 6. Everything tasted great and had some unique flavor. I especially enjoyed the montaditos, which was something I haven't tried before. The ceviche was also very refreshing and tasty, something I don't usually lean towards but this one was very well executed. Patatas bravas are always a yummy tapas choice, and we also enjoyed the paella (which we forgot to photograph). ”
“ All dishes are delicious, we love seafood paella even though it could be a bit dryer but I think it's okay for tonight. Service is good, she has service mind and explains us well. I also love the open kitchen Spanish style, ambiance and music are perfect for night out. ”
“ Bulla Gastrobar has become my go-to place! I'm practically a regular at this point. Whether it's Happy Hour or any time of the day, this place never disappoints! The ambiance is fun and lively, the service is consistently amazing, and the food is always delicious. Amanda is my favorite waitress! Some of my favorites include the Sangría Roja for my cocktail (so refreshing!), the Ham Croquettes and Ceviche de Jalapeño as appetizers, the Kale Caesar Salad with Shrimp for my entree, and the Torrija for dessert, an absolute must-try! If you're looking for great food, a fantastic atmosphere, and a spot that delivers every time, Bulla Gastrobar is it. ”
“ Ohhhhh this was a VIBE. First time visiting Bulla but boy have I had my eye on this place for a minute. We did a staycation in the area and made a reservation for a large party of nine here for the Friday after Christmas. The ambiance is lovely, great music in the background, and a delicious tapas menu. We had a little bit of everything: pintxos, jamón ibérico, chorizo, salmon, grilled steak, patatas bravas, pan con tomate, and a partridge in a pear tree. Lol. I had two Spanish margaritas which I devoured quickly. Others in the group loved the sangria, ceviche, canelloni, and pretty much everything else on the menu. The larger plates I'd probably hold off on next go around. The small plates are where it's at, hands down. I highly recommend trying this lovely place for a night out with a larger group. It's the closest thing that's taken me back to my days of living in Barcelona. Delicious food and vibrant flavors! ”
